Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me and do not stop them;

for it is to such as these that the kingdom of heaven belongs."

Matthew 19:14

Sunday School Classes
September to May
9:30 - 10:15 AM for ages: 3 years - 6th grade

Education/Christian Formation

"Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." Proverbs 22:6

Core curriculum:  Episcopal Children's Curriculum (ECC).
The natural design follows the liturgical church year with a particular focus on age appropriate lessons from the Old and New Testaments of the Holy Bible, church seasons, sacraments, and the church. Classes gather in age-level groupings as they learn, wonder, and grow in their faith and knowledge.

Preschool/Kindergarten Class
Ages 3-5
The class is a natural fit for the boundless energy of young children. This age group is constantly striving to make sense of their world through sight, sound, and touch so, the format and setting is built around stories that engage young children in talking about concepts like feelings and values.

Primary Class
1st - 3rd graders
Children at this age level are energized and interested in relationships with people around them. As they grow in self-awareness, children often wonder about people of the past. Lessons build on their curiosity through experiential activities that bring biblical characters and church history to life for students.

Intermediate Class
4th - 6th graders
Students at the intermediate level think about situations from more than one perspective and begin to apply scriptural understanding to everyday life. Storytelling is used in the form of lively interaction between students and leaders. The hands-on focus helps the children begin to understand their responsibilities to God and other people.

(Classes and activities for older children listed under Get Connected - Youth tab of the site)

Children's Worship

Ages 4 years - third grade

"Praise the Lord, all you nations! Extol Him, all you peoples!
For great is His steadfast love toward us, and the faithfulness of the Lord
endures forever. Praise the Lord!"
Psalm 117

An age-appropriate children's worship service is conducted each Sunday in the Children's Chapel during the Rite II (10:30 AM) worship service. During worship time, children learn about and begin to appreciate the wonder and grandeur of our liturgical worship. Children who wish to participate will follow the cross at the end of the procession. The children return at the offertory to continue worship with their parents.
